📚 TOPIC 1: FOUNDATIONS OF TAWARRUQ CREDIT CARD
In this opening lesson, you are introduced to the world of Islamic banking instruments—specifically, the Tawarruq-based credit card. Unlike conventional credit cards that rely heavily on interest-based lending, Islamic credit cards are structured using trade-based contracts, primarily Murabahah, and facilitated through Tawarruq. You will discover how the credit limit is not “borrowed money,” but the result of actual commodity transactions conducted on behalf of the customer. You will begin by understanding the overall process flow from application all the way to renewal. While credit cards may appear simple to the average consumer, the mechanism behind a Shariah-compliant card is far more structured and principled. This course will give you a clear map of how everything works in practice.
